What habit is no longer working for you? What do you see that you want to change? Habits are there because of a need they meet in you.
- Don’t attempt to stop a habit until you know why you do it in the first place. What need is it meeting? Be honest with yourself.
- Pray for wisdom for what, when, where, why, how to make changes. Maybe seek some wise counsel.
- Look at what you plan to do with the end in mind. That will get you through the daily frustrations of change.
- Work on one thing at a time. Overwhelm from trying to do it all at once, can cause burnout, causing you to stop trying.
- Remember: What you do is actually proof of what you believe. So be sure to protect your time with God in prayer and Bible reading, becoming transformed into what God intended for you to do and to be.
Routine.
It is so easy to get set in your ways; and then, suddenly, realizing that your old habits are failing you. You are frustrated. Your life just isn’t working for you like it used to. What’s up with that?
Perspective.
You’ve heard the definition of insanity is doing the same thing, the same way, and expecting different results. That’s where a mentor can be invaluable. Helping you to see what is possible. Seeing things from a different perspective…so you can move forward in the new challenges of your life.
Choice. Chance. Change.
Did you notice the word choice is misspelled in the graphic? Sometimes the routine of our life is a little out of whack. We don’t even notice that one wrong letter, but it is wrong just the same. Is it time to make a choice to take a chance to create change in your life? Let’s do it together!
One proactive thing you can do.
One of the best ways to change habits is to work with a life coach. A mentor coach. Someone who has been there. Done that. And survived with more than the tee shirt. 😉
Someone who will believe in you and will cheer you on when it seems too hard. Even when you have a temporary setback. Someone who will help you see your full potential…the way that God hard-wired you. Helping you see yourself through God’s eyes! I’d like to be that person for you…
Help and encouragement in the journey is only a click away.
God adores you just the way you are, but loves you too much to let you stay there!
Let’s schedule a time to talk about “change”…and what that would look like for YOU.
Until next time.
