Looking Back
Through much of my life, I’ve lived as though I have been looking through a rear view mirror. Wishing things were different. Discontent. Sad. Christmas can sometimes bring that out in every person.
Christmas Past
Are there skeletons in your closet from Christmas past? Things like the Scrooge movie? Are there things you really should put behind you and move one to new possibilities?
Wishing things had been different
Have you ever been like me: Focusing on what I could have done better. Beating myself up for what I should have done better/different.
The failures of the PAST used to rule my life.
But no more. I have made some important decisions. To be deliberate.
It has been a gradual shift. And now…
- I purpose to live out the best TODAY with God’s help, that I can live…EVERY DAY!!!
- To choose joy. It is definitely a choice…joy is deeper than the FEELING of happiness.
- To choose to smile more than frown…even when no one is around.
- To choose to count my blessings. My Gratefulness Journal helped with that.
- And daily it is becoming more and more natural.
Each day is a fresh start
Yes each today is new and fresh and ready to be experienced fully.
What about you?
Have you been looking backwards at what could have been? Or, what ifs? What if we just decide to stop doing that? That’s what I did…
Will you join me? And, that, my friends will make it the Merriest Christmas Ever!!!
God bless you bunches!
Thank you for all you do!
Awaiting His shout,
