Father God, these are fearful, scary times to be raising children. Yet, in Your Word, you say over and over and over again, “Do not fear.”
You even had an angel messenger tell Jesus’s mother, Mary, not to fear…when You let her know that she was chosen to be Jesus’ mother. YOU remember that day, vividly, don’t You, Abba?
It is hard to NOT fear. We fear when things are too big for us to be able to handle. And that is exactly where YOU do your BEST work—when we reach the END of OUR own ability.
Thank you for fear. I know that it will sound crazy to the Moms reading this, but even though I HATE being afraid, I am grateful for fear…Because fear drives us to You!!! And NOTHING is too hard for YOU. You just want us to STOP and ASK for help from You, Father.
Would You—at this very moment—bless this Mama that is reading this prayer? Bless her with a deep sense of your Daddy-ness…Your attentive care, Your wisdom and protection…so she can find her rest in You. Let her know that You LOVE it when she runs to YOU for safety. Let her know this very moment how deeply You care for her…let her actually feel how much You adore her.
Let her know that what matters to her, matters to YOU, too! Help her to rest in You. Remind her over and over again—each time that fear shows its ugly head—that You “have her back”. That she can trust You. Thanks for the reminder…
Philippians $;6, 7 (NIV) “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Bless her, Lord! Thank You for what You are going to do! For what you are already doing!
Onward, deeply loved daughter of the King of Kings! Onward this day into your CALLING as a MOTHER. It is a HIGH and HOLY calling.
