5 Benefits from Trusting God

scrap_tag_11925God gives each of us the wisdom to train our own children in the way they should go. Each family must decide what God is directing them personally to do as a family. God clearly directed me to homeschool my two children. I had no doubt. My husband agreed. I didn’t even know there was a name for it. I just knew I was the one to teach them to love to read and to love to learn. And through it all, God showed me clearly the benefits of trusting Him. Even when were in other countries as missionaries. He gave me that peace that passes understanding. And He taught me…

5 Benefits from Trusting God:

  • Dispels fear and anxiety
  • Brings rest and peace
  • Leads to Godly responses
  • Gives skills and wisdom
  • Proves that God can be trusted with the present and future

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” This is not a mere suggestion from God. It is instruction given by Father God.  And it is not just a partial surrender. He expects our WHOLE heart surrender. For our good! After all, He loves us with His whole heart. Can we do any less?

Often, we lean on our own understanding because we are afraid to trust God. And, past experiences may be causing us to fear trusting others, leading to poor relationship skills. There is a lack of peace and rest when we think we have the answers rather than turning to God for His wisdom and guidance.

So, which way are you choosing? Trusting God, or leaning on your own understanding? Do you have a story to share?
