Begin Today! 10 Steps to UNcurmudgeon!

Do you embrace life like Maria in the Sound of Music or are you a curmudgeon? Not many of us will say we are like Maria! But we CAN be!! We really can!

It’s been said that the tragedy of life isn’t that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it! Does that describe you or someone you know? What are we waiting for? Moms unite!!! Let’s embrace who God made us to be! Let’s UNcurmudgeon! This very day, you can stop waiting to begin your life. Begin today! Here’s some ideas to get you started:

  1. Embrace today as a gift.
  2. Begin it with a sense of joyful curiosity rather than dread.
  3. Face each moment with delightful expectation.
  4. Shift the way you think about parenting.
  5. Delight in your “calling” as a parent.
  6. Choose to prove “nurture” is a fun word.
  7. Celebrate each small win and success.
  8. Overcome your judgmental attitude about YOURSELF!!!
  9. Expect your children to make mistakes.
  10. CHOOSE joy.

Moms are partners with God to raise the children He has given you! Look to Him for wisdom and courage. CHOOSE joy and gratitude. Even on the bad days, there is always something to be grateful for. CHOOSE the high road. Above all else, choose joy!

If this has been helpful, be sure to forward it to friends. To encourage them to be the best Mom ever! Moms UNITE!!!

I believe in you. How can I pray for you?

Until next time.

  1. What a great quote. “It’s been said that the tragedy of life isn’t that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it!”

Each one of your points would make a great stand-alone blog.

Keep up the good work, Pam!
