Find Joy In The Journey. New Beginnings

It is a new year. A new beginning. God wants you to find joy IN the journey. Not just in the destination, but in the process of the journey. Finding true joy in the daily-ness of life. Each day. The possibilities are endless!

Set your focus on the One who walks the journey WITH you
He is your rear guard and your point man. He is your constant companion and your best friend. You are NEVER EVER alone! He wants what is BEST for you. You can never do anything to make Him love you less and you can never do enough to EARN His love. It is freely given. He adores you. Seriously. No matter what.

No matter what happened yesterday or the year before
He gives you a fresh start. Just ask for it. “Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity…” (Micah 7:18) Forgetting what’s behind. Praying for wisdom & guidance for THIS day. For THIS time. He wants you to be His disciple. Always growing in the knowledge and understanding of Jesus. He wants you to mature in the faith. And He wants you to testify to His goodness to others. But, you never ever have to EARN His love. It is love in the truest sense. Freely given without strings. Of course that kind of love brings a response from you. It causes love for Him to grow in your heart with a desire to obey Him. Out of love. Not out of fear of punishment. Not out of fear of losing His love…because that is impossible.

Are you concerned about tomorrow?
It is wonderful to know that you do not journey alone. Joshua 3:4 reminds you that “…you have not gone this way before…” But He is with you IN the journey. “…the living God is among you.” (Joshua 3:10) Always. Every day. In every way.

He goes before you
He is Immanuel (God with you). Always. No matter how many times you fall. “But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall, I will rise. Though I dwell in darkness, the LORD is a light for me.” (Micah 7:7, 8) Even when you fall, He will light your path, and you will rise up again (with Him) to face another day. Head up. Eyes forward. Shoulders back. Onward Christian soldiers.

What does the Lord require of you?
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love mercy (kindness) and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8 )

What does faith look like?
“Faith is taking the first step BEFORE you see the evidence of Him doing it.” – David Jeremiah “God’s promises are not for underlining in your Bible. They are for believing and obeying.” Destination: God!

God bless you bunches. Thank you for all you do.
